At Rivergate we believe that Scripture emphasizes the dynamic relationship of the End-Time outpouring of the Spirit on the Church in the nations, as it correlates to God's plan for Israel's salvation. God wants the Church to stand with Israel, both in the land of Israel and outside of it, as we declare to them, "You are not alone, we are with you!" It is essential that Gentile believers understand what God is doing and what He requires us to do in response. One of Israel's greatest needs is for the Church to mobilize worldwide in intercession for the release of Jesus’ power and love toward Israel.
We believe that the best way for believers to learn about God’s heart for the Jewish people is to establish a regular habit of prayer and fasting for Israel/the Jewish people. Then spend time in the Scriptures regarding apostolic prayers for Israel and the word of the Prophets regarding Israel in the End Times.
We do not subscribe to Replacement Theology which teaches that God has rejected the Jewish people and He has canceled His covenants and withdrawn His promises from them. We believe this teaching violates the Jewish people, the Church, and God’s Word and character! It has frequently been used through church history to justify horrible actions against Jews. The Gentile church officially severed all relationship with the Jewish people in 325 A.D. The Church has suffered many negative consequences since that time resulting from that decision. We must pray for the goal of the New Covenant of the "one new man" in Christ! (Ephesians 2)
